Shipping and Delivery

GENERAL INFORMATION

Once we receive your order, we work with third-party delivery contractors to get your order to you fast and safely. You can also arrange pick up.

DELIVERY

When will my order arrive?

In Stock

If we have your item in stock, we will endeavor to deliver your items within 48hrs within Melbourne Metro
Interstate deliveries or regional Victoria– timeframe – within 10 business days

On Order

If you order an item, not in stock, it usually takes 8-10 weeks to arrive in Melbourne. We will then arrange delivery to you.

The nature of orders is such that delays may occur and when placing an order, please factor this in. If you order is late for reasons beyond our control, we will keep you informed.

What you need to do before placing your order?

Prior to purchasing an item, please measure your door width to avoid any unwanted surprises upon delivery.

We'll our best to help you get your products through your door but we won’t be able to take responsibility if your door is too small and the items do not fit through.

At the time of placing your order, kindly let us know if there are any difficulties that our delivery guy may face (stairs or narrow entries). We'll able to take appropriate measures to facilitate your delivery if we’re aware of the full situation.
Our standard delivery fees are applicable to deliveries to the ground floor.
If we find these difficulties on the spot and you didn’t inform us, there may be additional charges, including redelivery fees and the cost of an extra person to assist.

Third-party delivery service

  • We do not offer an in-house delivery service. We hire third-party contractors and we’ll provide you with a quote upon your purchase. You may also find other quotes if you wish. We'll liaise with your contractors on your behalf if you decide to use one of them.
  • Please note that we will not be responsible for delivery failures or delays by any third party delivery contractor.
  • All delivery charges are payable directly to third party contractors unless agreed otherwise.
  • The delivery fees are still applicable even if you cancel your order or refuse delivery
  • If your order has already left our warehouse, and you decide to postpone the delivery date,re-delivery charges will be applied.

Interstate deliveries

We offer a discounted price for interstate deliveries. The shipping costs associated with interstate deliveries will be calculated on a case to case basis. Kindly, contact us for an estimate.

Can I ship my items to a P.O box?

We currently do not offer this service.

Do I need to be home when my product arrives?

If you have given the authority to leave the items, you do not need to present. Most of our small items are delivered by courier and this option is available. For large and bulky items such as sofas, you will be required to be present i n-person to accept delivery.

Failed deliveries, returned & missing packages

In the case that we are unable to deliver a package due to an incorrect address entered by you, multiple failed attempts to reach you at point of delivery, or otherwise, we will not be responsible for the costs incurred to return the package to our warehouse.

Similarly, we will not be held responsible for the cost to re-ship the item to you.

In cases such as these, you’ll responsible for all shipping costs associated with returned packages due to failed delivery.

Missing packages - Authority to leave

Upon checking out, you’ll have the option to choose whether you want the courier to leave your parcel at your door if no one’s here to collect it. No signature will be required.

In the event that your package gets lost after we leave it at your door, please note that you’ll have to bear any associated costs.

Rubbish removal services

We unfortunately do not offer rubbish removal services. Some of our third party contractors may offer this service at at a fee and this is at their discretion. Please negotiate with them directly.

SHIPPING COST

Flat-packed items:

To estimate the shipping cost, browse the relevant item and look for the ‘Estimate Shipping’ button and enter your location details. The shipping cost displayed is the best price option available at the time and is based on a number of factors including the size and weight of the item/s.

If you are purchasing an item that needs to be ordered, there may be changes in the shipping cost when we book your item for despatch in 8-10 weeks time because couriers services are constantly updating their prices.  Please note we do not make money off the shipping cost that you pay. If the price change is significant (usually more than 10%), we will contact you to advise of the freight increase if any. You can then pay for the difference, find a more competitive courier service or organise pick up from our warehouse. We will work with you to save you time and money as much as we can.

PICK UP AVAILABLE


We are committed to providing you with the best service and ensuring your furniture reaches you in perfect condition. Here are some important points to keep in mind when picking up your order:

  • Scheduled Pick-Up: You can pick up your order on your chosen date and time after our confirmation.
  • Packing Information: Our furniture is carefully packed in carton boxes and canvas covers. However, these materials might not be completely waterproof.
  • Rainy Day Precautions: If you need to pick up your order during rainy weather, we kindly ask you to bring suitable covers to further protect your furniture from getting wet.
  • Liability Disclaimer: Please note that we are not responsible for any wetness or damage caused by rain during the pick-up process.
  • Pick-Up Assistance: Kindly come with two strong persons to pick up your order. Our logistics staff will assist you in loading the furniture into your vehicle. However, for bulky items, we will need additional help from you.
  • Vehicle Compatibility: Please ask for the dimensions of the items you are picking up and measure your vehicle beforehand. We do not take responsibility if the furniture does not fit in your car. Please note, we won't unpack the furniture at our warehouse for pick-up to avoid damage during transportation. If you choose to unpack the furniture to fit it in your car, any subsequent damages will not be covered.
  • Pickup and Loading Responsibility: When picking up goods, our warehouse staff will have them ready for you at the time of pickup. Please ensure that you have the appropriate help to handle the loading process securely. Please note that you are responsible for loading the goods into your vehicle safely.

DAMAGES

Flat-packed items delivered by Shippit

We generally use Shippit to deliver flat-packed items across Australia. We are an online furniture retailer and we partner with Shippit to help deliver the items.  Whilst we work very hard to ensure a smooth delivery process,  the possibility of damages occurring during shipping is unfortunately real. To protect your goods during transit, we offer Transit Protection Insurance that covers the value of the goods including GST but excluding delivery charges. It is calculated as 3.5% of the value of your goods including GST. If you receive a damaged flat-packed item and have opted for Transit Protection Insurance,  this is what you need to do:
  • Please report  the damages within 5 business days of receiving the item.  We attach a yellow flyer with instructions to all flat-packed items, so please follow these instructions when reporting the damages. This information can also be found here;
  • Please do not dispose of the packaging as Shippit will require internal and external photos of the packaging.
  • We will lodge an insurance claim on your behalf with Shippit.
  • This process may take up to 4 weeks depending on circumtances.
  • If your claim is accepted , you will be refunded an amount equal to the amount you paid for your goods (Inc GST) excluding the delivery charges. 

Items delivered by our third-party removalist companies

We use third party contractors to deliver bigger items such as lounges. We use removalist companies and they provide a 1 man or 2 men + a van service. When receiving your item, you will be required to inspect your item for damages and to sign a delivery note confirming you have received your goods in good condition. If you notice damages to your item during the inspection this is what you can expect:
  • Please report the damages to us immediately while the removalist company is still at your premises.
  • Please take relevant photos of the damage and send us by email so we can understand the damages while the removalist company is still at your premises.
  • Depending on the issue, we may repair the damage, compensate you for the damage or replace the item. 

Damage to the Client's Premises

TFP AU PTY LTD engages third-party services for deliveries. Consequently, we cannot and will not accept responsibility for any damages caused to your premises by the delivery company. In the event of accidental property damage at your residence, kindly reach out to the delivery company directly for resolution.
